(INVITED) Lighting-up nanocarbons through hybridization: Optoelectronic properties and perspectives
نویسندگان
چکیده
In recent years, a plethora of material systems have been designed and prepared to increase the performance light harvesting light-emitting technologies, develop new attractive applications. Limitations state-of-the-art devices based on organics (both conjugated polymers or small molecules/oligomers) derive largely from stability issues after prolonged operation. This challenge could be tackled by leveraging enhanced carbon nanostructures (CNSs, including nanotubes large family graphene-based materials) in carefully nano-hybrid nano-composite architectures integrated within photo-active layers, paving way exploitation these materials contexts which their potential has not yet fully revealed. this review, we discuss theoretical experimental background behind CNSs hybridization with other for establishment novel optoelectronic properties provide an overview existing examples literature that allow forecast interesting future perspectives use real devices.

Lighting up FGFR signaling.
In this issue of Chemistry & Biology, Kim and colleagues describe their work on optogenetic control of fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) signaling. By engineering a chimeric receptor, the authors demonstrate that FGFR intracellular signaling can be controlled in space and time by blue light.
متن کاملGFP: Lighting up life.
I want to thank the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the Nobel Foundation for this amazing and surprising honor. At first I wondered why I, a biologist and a person with less than enviable college grades in chemistry, had been selected. Then I realized that this prize had actually been given to the GFP molecule, and I am one of its assistants. Thank you for letting me be part of the celebr...
متن کاملLighting Up the Mechanome
biological machinery—the " mechanome " —will open the way to new strategies for fighting disease. Genomics and general " omics " approaches, such as proteomics, inter-actomics, and glycomics, among others, are powerful system-level tools in biology. All of these fields are supported by advances in instrumentation and computation, such as DNA sequencers and mass spectrometers, which were critica...
